On February 23, 2026, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) announced the opening of its online portal for applications to the Diploma in Law programme, also known as Paralegal Studies, at the Kenya School of Law. The application window runs until March 9, 2026. This programme aims to provide foundational legal knowledge and practical skills to assist advocates, judicial officers, and other legal professionals in various legal and administrative roles.
The courses will be offered at the institution's Karen Campus and the Town Campus in Nairobi's central business district. Students have the option to attend in-person day classes or enroll in evening virtual sessions.
This development comes as hundreds of thousands of students who sat for the 2025 KCSE examinations await the opening of university placement applications by KUCCPS. The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) was the first institution to open its applications through the service in 2026, with university applications set to begin in March 2026.
According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 993,000 candidates sat the national examination in 2025, with 270,715 achieving a mean grade of C+ and above, qualifying them for direct university entry. Additionally, 507,131 candidates attained C and above, while 634,082 scored D+ and above.
