Un homme condamné à 15 ans de prison pour avoir planifié un attentat lors des concerts de Taylor Swift à Vienne

Un Autrichien identifié sous le nom de Beran A. a été condamné le 28 mai à 15 ans de prison pour son rôle dans un projet d'attentat terroriste déjoué visant la tournée Eras Tour 2024 de Taylor Swift à Vienne.

L'homme de 21 ans a plaidé coupable en avril de conspiration en vue de commettre une attaque, mais non coupable des autres chefs d'accusation. Selon les procureurs, il prévoyait de cibler les fans à l'extérieur du stade Ernst Happel à l'aide de couteaux et de bombes, là où jusqu'à 30 000 personnes auraient pu se rassembler avant des concerts qui devaient attirer 65 000 spectateurs chaque soir. Il était également accusé d'avoir collaboré avec d'autres individus sur des projets d'attentats supplémentaires au Moyen-Orient et d'avoir cherché à se procurer des armes illégales, notamment une mitrailleuse et une grenade à main, après avoir suivi les instructions de l'EI sur la fabrication de bombes, selon des rapports de l'Associated Press et d'Al Jazeera.
