Marcos déclare Naga ville hautement urbanisée

La maire de Naga, Leni Robredo, a annoncé le 27 mai que le président Ferdinand Marcos Jr. avait signé une proclamation déclarant Naga ville hautement urbanisée.

La proclamation fait suite à l'adoption par le conseil municipal de Naga de la résolution n° 2026-078 le 27 janvier. Il s'agit de la première ville de la région de Bicol à recevoir ce statut et de la 34e à l'échelle nationale. Robredo a déclaré que la nouvelle était arrivée le jour de l'anniversaire de son défunt mari, Jesse Robredo. Elle a remercié tous ceux qui ont contribué à obtenir ce classement. Ce nouveau statut conférera à Naga une indépendance vis-à-vis du gouvernement provincial de Camarines Sur. Un plébiscite, qui sera organisé par la Commission électorale, reste nécessaire pour la ratification finale par les résidents.
