Des images du prochain portage de Metal Gear Solid 4 montrent que Konami conservera les placements de produits réels d'origine. Le jeu figure dans la Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, dont la sortie est prévue plus tard cette année.

L'écrivain japonais Mafia Kajita et le doubleur Yuichi Nakamura ont joué le premier acte du portage. Les images confirment que Snake peut toujours utiliser un iPod pour écouter des chansons et des podcasts, ainsi que ramasser des magazines Playboy pour distraire ses ennemis.
