Le Mexique demeure le premier marché source de touristes pour les États-Unis, selon des projections partagées lors d'une conférence à l'occasion de l'IPW 2026 à Fort Lauderdale.

Lors de la session de Brand USA à l'IPW 2026, l'organisation a projeté que le Mexique enverrait 18,5 millions de visiteurs aux États-Unis cette année. Cela représente une croissance annuelle de 3 pour cent et consolide son avance sur le Canada depuis 2025.

La proximité géographique, la connectivité aérienne et terrestre, ainsi que les liens commerciaux alimentent cette tendance. Brand USA a souligné les dépenses des voyageurs mexicains en matière de shopping, de divertissement et d'hébergement.

Dans l'ensemble, les États-Unis attendent 70,6 millions de visiteurs internationaux en 2026, soit une hausse de 3 pour cent après un ralentissement modéré en 2025. Des défis tels que la perception de la sécurité et les coûts de voyage subsistent.
