New SSK goaltender Munther targets top spot over Härenstam

Teodor Munther has joined Södertälje SK ahead of the HockeyAllsvenskan season. The 20-year-old arrives from Vita Hästen and will share duties with Love Härenstam.

Munther was presented by the club in April. He said the move marks a step up from Hockeyettan.

He described facing competition with Härenstam as exciting. "It will be really fun to team up with him. He is damn good. It will be fun to compete with him and push him," Munther told LT.

On paper Härenstam is the starting goaltender. Munther acknowledged this but stated his aim is to compete for the position, especially during Härenstam's expected time at the World Junior Championship.

Munther began his career at IK Göta Bromma before moving through AIK and Djurgården. The pair have faced each other in junior leagues and camps.
