La police a ouvert une enquête après la découverte du corps d'un nouveau-né dans des toilettes portables lors du festival Electric Forest à Rothbury, dans le Michigan.

Le corps a été retrouvé lors d'une opération de maintenance de routine le dimanche 28 juin au matin, selon la police d'État du Michigan. Les toilettes portables étaient situées sur le terrain de camping du festival. Les autorités ont déclaré que l'enquête était toujours en cours et ont demandé à toute personne disposant d'informations pertinentes de se faire connaître. « Nous apprécions la coopération du public et demandons aux gens d'éviter toute spéculation sur les réseaux sociaux par respect pour l'enquête et les personnes touchées », a déclaré la police d'État du Michigan. Les organisateurs d'Electric Forest ont partagé cette déclaration sur Facebook, ajoutant : « Le QG a le cœur brisé et sait que notre famille du festival l'est tout autant. »
