Part of Dragarbrunnsgatan to close after ground subsidence

From week 32 a section of Dragarbrunnsgatan in central Uppsala will close to through traffic because of ground subsidence. The work is expected to last until March 2027.

The section between Bangårdsgatan and Bredgränd is affected. Motorists and cyclists will be redirected via other streets while parking garages in the area remain accessible.

Emil Enarsson, head of unit at the city planning administration of Uppsala municipality, says previous repairs no longer suffice. He states that adjustments have been made to reduce disruptions.

Around 90 bicycle parking spaces will be removed along the street but replaced with temporary spots nearby.
