Ringo Starr collabore avec Paul McCartney sur « Home To Us », extrait de The Boys of Dungeon Lane

Dans la continuité de l'annonce le mois dernier de son album solo The Boys of Dungeon Lane (sortie prévue le 29 mai), Paul McCartney a dévoilé les détails du duo « Home To Us », en collaboration avec son ancien camarade des Beatles, Ringo Starr, qui y assure le chant et la batterie.

Le titre nostalgique « Home To Us » — dixième piste de l'album introspectif de McCartney puisant dans ses souvenirs d'enfance à Liverpool — voit McCartney et Starr alterner au chant, tandis que Starr assure la batterie. Chrissie Hynde et Sharleen Spiteri y participent également. Comme McCartney l'a confié à Billboard, cette collaboration s'est faite tardivement : « J'ai vu Ringo et lui ai dit que je travaillais avec ce type, Andrew [Watt, le producteur]. Ringo est passé au studio d'Andrew et a joué un peu de batterie. » Starr a initialement ajouté la batterie et les chœurs dans une certaine confusion, avant d'élargir son rôle. Il s'agit du premier album de McCartney depuis McCartney III, sorti en 2020. Parallèlement, l'album de Ringo Starr, intitulé Long Long Road, paraîtra le 24 avril, produit par T-Bone Burnett avec des invités tels que St. Vincent, Sheryl Crow et Billy Strings.
