Ringo Starr collaborates with Paul McCartney on 'Home To Us' from The Boys of Dungeon Lane

In a follow-up to last month's announcement of his solo album The Boys of Dungeon Lane (out May 29), Paul McCartney has revealed details of the duet 'Home To Us' featuring former Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr, who contributes vocals and drums.

The nostalgic track 'Home To Us'—track 10 on McCartney's introspective album drawing from his Liverpool childhood—sees McCartney and Starr trading line-by-line vocals, with Starr laying down drums. Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiteri also contribute. As McCartney told Billboard, the collaboration happened late: 'I saw Ringo and said I worked with this guy Andrew [Watt, producer]. Ringo came over to Andrew’s studio and played a little bit of drums.' Starr initially added drums and chorus vocals amid some confusion, then expanded his role. This marks McCartney's first album since 2020's McCartney III. Meanwhile, Ringo Starr's own album Long Long Road arrives April 24, produced by T-Bone Burnett with guests including St. Vincent, Sheryl Crow, and Billy Strings.
