Les agriculteurs du Pendjab bloquent les trains pendant 3 heures en raison des retards dans l'achat du blé

Les agriculteurs de 18 districts du Pendjab interrompront le trafic ferroviaire de midi à 15 heures aujourd'hui pour protester contre les retards dans l'approvisionnement en blé. Des groupes tels que le Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), le SKM, l'AKM et le KKM ont exhorté les gouvernements central et étatique à commencer les achats immédiatement.

Les organisations agricoles du Pendjab, accusant les agences centrales de négligence dans l'achat du blé, ont lancé un blocage ferroviaire le 17 avril. Les trains seront arrêtés dans 18 districts de midi à 15 heures.

Les agriculteurs ont déclaré qu'un retard de deux semaines a laissé les récoltes invendues sur les marchés, causant des pertes économiques et une détresse psychologique. Ils ont prévenu que la mobilisation s'intensifierait si leurs revendications n'étaient pas satisfaites.

Le ministre de l'Union, Ravneet Singh Bittu, a déclaré que des pluies intempestives avaient affecté la couleur et la taille des grains de blé. La Food Corporation of India (FCI) a recommandé d'assouplir les normes d'approvisionnement afin de garantir que les agriculteurs reçoivent des prix équitables pour chaque grain.

Les groupes d'agriculteurs, cependant, n'ont pas modifié leurs plans et poursuivront le blocage comme prévu.
