La gouverneure Mara Lezama Espinosa a annoncé que l'agence Fitch Ratings a relevé la note de crédit de l'État de Quintana Roo de A à A+. L'État figure parmi les trois seuls à bénéficier d'une perspective positive sur les 27 évalués par l'agence. Les deux autres sont la Basse-Californie et la Basse-Californie du Sud. En quatre ans, la note a progressé de cinq échelons pour atteindre A+ avec une perspective positive. Il s'agit de la note la plus élevée depuis que Fitch a commencé ses évaluations en 2000. Le ministère des Finances et de la Planification, dirigé par Martha Parroquín Pérez, a mené des actions visant à renforcer le recouvrement des recettes et à optimiser les dépenses.
