Louis Robitaille has been named an assistant coach for the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Robitaille, 44, returns to the organization after playing three seasons with the club from 2005 to 2008. During that time he appeared in 200 regular season games and helped the team win the Calder Cup in 2006.
The Montreal native spent last season as head coach of FC Omskie Krylya in Russia’s VHL. He previously coached for 14 years in the QMJHL, serving as head coach for Victoriaville, Gatineau and Cape Breton.
Robitaille also won a gold medal as an assistant coach with Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship. He played 440 AHL games across four teams and ranks 20th all time with 1,759 penalty minutes.
