La RWTH Aachen a annulé un salon de l'emploi prévu avec des entreprises chinoises. Cette décision fait suite à des questions posées par le Handelsblatt. Le service de renseignement intérieur allemand s'inquiète depuis longtemps de ce type d'activités.

Un salon de l'emploi réunissant des entreprises chinoises devait se tenir à la RWTH Aachen. L'université a annulé l'événement après les interrogations du Handelsblatt. Le Verfassungsschutz, l'agence de renseignement allemande, avait déjà tiré la sonnette d'alarme concernant de telles initiatives.

L'université figure parmi les principaux établissements d'excellence allemands. Son accent sur la compétitivité a été souligné par une récente visite de Mario Draghi. L'ancien Premier ministre italien s'est exprimé dans l'auditorium de la RWTH.

Le chancelier fédéral Friedrich Merz fera l'éloge du rapport de Draghi sur la compétitivité de l'UE le lendemain. L'annulation du salon de l'emploi souligne les tensions entre les intérêts économiques et les préoccupations de sécurité concernant la Chine.
