Sheinbaum inaugure la centrale à cycle combiné de la CFE à Mexicali

La présidente Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo a inauguré la centrale à cycle combiné González Ortega de la CFE à Mexicali, en Basse-Californie, et a souligné que la production d'énergie est un pilier de la souveraineté nationale.

La centrale ajoutera 653 mégawatts au système électrique national. Elle s'inscrit dans l'objectif d'incorporer 32 000 mégawatts au cours du mandat, dont 22 000 proviendront d'énergies renouvelables.

Sheinbaum a noté que la production d'énergie doit garantir la souveraineté nationale, la durabilité environnementale et la justice sociale. Elle a également mentionné les réformes constitutionnelles qui rétablissent le statut de la CFE en tant qu'entreprise publique d'État.

La directrice générale de la CFE, Emilia Esther Calleja Alor, a expliqué que la centrale produira plus de 5 000 gigawattheures par an. Cela profitera à la Basse-Californie, où la consommation d'électricité augmente pendant les mois les plus chauds.
