Ten injured in truck and bus crash in Hong Kong

Ten people sustained mild injuries in a collision between a truck and a KMB double-decker bus outside a shopping centre in Hong Kong’s Kwun Tong district early on Tuesday. Police received the report at 6:20 a.m. in Sau Mau Ping. The crash occurred on Po Lam Road near Po Tat Shopping Centre.

Eight passengers and the two drivers were hurt when the truck hit the bus, police said. The white box truck overturned in the road, while the bus suffered a shattered front windscreen and a damaged front door.

Part of Po Lam Road toward Sau Mau Ping Road was closed after the incident but reopened at 8:18 a.m. Officers found glass shards at the scene and called in a cleaning crew.

The force confirmed all injuries were mild and no further details on the cause have been released.
