Le festival débute mercredi avec Earth, Wind & Fire: To Be Celestial vs. That’s the Weight of the World. Il se clôturera le 14 juin avec la première de Alicia Keys: Girl From Hell’s Kitchen. Entre-temps, la programmation comprend des documentaires sur Sara Bareilles, Peter Frampton, Noga Erez, The Lox, Travis Barker, Katy Perry et Mumford & Sons. La directrice du festival de Tribeca, Cara Cusumano, a évoqué la sélection de documentaires lors d'une intervention sur le podcast Doc Talk. D'autres films portent sur des chefs ayant cuisiné pour des dictateurs, la vie de l'ancien gouverneur de New York Mario Cuomo et des humoristes ayant imité des présidents américains. Le festival se déroule dans le Lower Manhattan.
