Vimmerby HC launches fundraiser to retain top scorer

Vimmerby HC has started a collection to keep forward Johan Mörnsjö under contract for the 2026/27 season. The 29-year-old led the team in scoring during the previous campaign.

The club announced the initiative on Friday. It aims to raise 100 000 kronor to secure Mörnsjö, who remains without a contract after the season ended.

Mörnsjö joined Vimmerby from Östersund ahead of last season. He recorded 13 goals and 18 assists in 52 games, finishing as the team's leading point producer with 31 points.

The forward will serve as the club's supporter player if the campaign succeeds. Vimmerby currently has nine forwards signed for the coming season.
