Vintage train celebrates National Day between Falun and Grycksbo

The heritage railway association ran a vintage train service on National Day.

The trip ran between Falun and Grycksbo using a diesel locomotive built in Falun in the 1950s. The association chose diesel because no steam locomotive driver was available. About 30 people took part on the first departure on Saturday. Ten-year-old Ingrid Myrén said it was exciting to travel in the old-fashioned way. Björn Santesson, vice chairman of Museiföreningen Gefle–Dala Järnväg, noted that passengers from Grycksbo could take the train to the Åfest in Falun. The association was founded in 1974 and has 130 members.
