Arizona couple charged after three road rage incidents in a month

Arianna Foster, 20, and Alexander Black, 24, face charges including aggravated assault following three alleged road rage episodes in Arizona. The incidents, spanning from February 19 to March 18, involved spitting, throwing rocks and bricks, and using weapons like pepper spray and a hatchet. Police arrested the pair after surveillance footage linked their vehicle to the attacks.

An Arizona couple, Arianna Foster and Alexander Black, is accused of a series of aggressive road rage incidents over a month, culminating in their arrest and detention at Maricopa County Jail on a $150,000 bond each. Authorities detailed the events in a probable cause statement obtained by Law&Crime, highlighting dangers to victims including children and other drivers in Glendale and nearby areas. The first clash occurred on February 19 at a Walmart parking lot in Glendale. Black, driving a bumperless 2009 Kia Spectra, closely tailed a man with his 8-year-old daughter inside. When the victim stopped and asked what was happening, Foster allegedly spat in his face, then hurled a river rock at the car from three feet away. Black reportedly chased the fleeing vehicle with a hammer and later threw another rock, damaging the hood and causing about $2,000 in repairs. Police noted this endangered the father and daughter. Four days later, the same suspects targeted another driver in the same lot. Black honked and tailed the vehicle before Foster threw bricks, one missing and the other inflicting $2,500 in damage. Surveillance captured the license plate, identifying the Kia and leading investigators to the couple. The final incident unfolded on March 18 on southbound Loop 101 near Olive Avenue. Black accelerated to block a driver, then braked hard, causing a rear-end collision. As the victim approached saying, 'What the hell was that?', Foster sprayed him with pepper spray. Black then used a hatchet to chop off a mirror and strike the passenger door, and stabbed the tires with a knife. The victim reported feeling he might die. Foster and Black face charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage, and endangerment.
