Bullrich defends Adorni and calls to leave case to Justice

Patricia Bullrich defended Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni on Friday during her speech at the Córdoba Stock Exchange. She said he is 'very affected' by the scandal and that Javier Milei decided to keep him in the post. She called not to prejudge and to leave the resolution to the courts.

Patricia Bullrich, head of the libertarian bloc, spoke on Friday, April 10, at an event at the Córdoba Stock Exchange, where she again defended Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni amid the scandal involving him.

Bullrich said Adorni is “very affected” personally and in his family, but clarified that “the President took a decision: to keep Adorni in his position.” She reflected that Adorni is new to politics, coming from the private sector, and emphasized: “Let Justice speak; meanwhile [...] do not accuse, let Justice do that work.”

The former minister stated it is not for them to determine guilt, as the case is under judicial review. “We do not want to break the principle of innocence of anyone,” she said, according to reports. She added that any leave of absence is a decision between Adorni and Milei, and the government will uphold its principle of not declaring guilt without a court ruling.

Bullrich also discussed her relationship with Mauricio Macri, whom she respects as former president despite not seeing him recently, and called for unity ahead of the 2027 elections. She described her ties with Victoria Villarruel as institutional, focused on passing laws for the country.
