President Javier Milei swore in Diego Santilli as Chief of Staff on July 1, 2026, at Casa Rosada. Manuel Adorni left the post amid an investigation for alleged illicit enrichment.
The ceremony took place in the Salón Blanco with Adorni, 14 governors and legislators present. Santilli, who held the Interior Ministry, assumed coordination of the cabinet.
Adorni also submitted his resignation from the YPF board, a position representing the state. The resignation will be evaluated by the oil company's shareholders.
The new Chief of Staff met with Senator Patricia Bullrich and allies to advance legislative projects such as political reform and the Cold Zones Law. The government seeks to move these initiatives forward in the second half of the year.
