Milei confirms he will accompany Adorni to Congress and seek re-election

President Javier Milei confirmed he will attend Congress next Wednesday with his Cabinet Chief, Manuel Adorni, for his management report. He also announced he will seek re-election in 2027 if he feels he has done a good job. These statements came amid key meetings and favorable judicial developments for the Government.

President Javier Milei confirmed on Thursday, April 23, that he will accompany Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni to his address in the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday, April 29. "I'm going, no doubt about it. I'm going to Manuel's presentation to listen to my Cabinet Chief," Milei stated in an interview with Neura. Regarding potential opposition questions on legal cases against him, he said: "Justice is working calmly and all steps are being followed. We're very calm."

In the same interview, Milei reiterated his intention to run for a second term in 2027. "I'm going to run. I'll apply for another term if I feel I've done things well. Then the people will decide," he stated.

That same day, Milei met with entrepreneur Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and Palantir shareholder, at the Casa Rosada. He described the meeting as "marvelous" and detailed discussions on anarcho-capitalism, sustaining his government model, the wealth tax—which he called a "manifestation of envy" and "punishment for success"—and opportunities in agribusiness.

Meanwhile, the VIII Chamber of the National Chamber of Appeals for Labor lifted the suspension on the labor reform, a decision celebrated by Milei on X: "They won't be able to stop the growth coming for the country." The Government also published decree 269/2026, restructuring the Cabinet Chief's office by incorporating areas like communications and cybersecurity without adding positions.
