Cruz Beckham releases new single 'Waste Your Pain'

Cruz Beckham has shared his new optimistic single 'Waste Your Pain' with his band The Breakers. The track, which he teased on his recent UK headline tour, explores themes of self-acceptance and fresh starts. Produced by Justin Raisen and Lewis Pesacov, it comes with a music video inspired by the 1983 film Risky Business.

Cruz Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, launched his music career last year with the double A-side 'Optics' and 'Lick The Toad', followed by the romantic 'For Your Love'. His latest release, 'Waste Your Pain', centers on a fast-paced guitar riff and builds to an unapologetic chorus. In the lyrics, Beckham sings, “I ain’t gonna waste my pain on you/ Unless you’re gonna waste your pain on me,” and “I can finally see us moving on/ Us being free/ At last.” The Breakers first performed the song earlier this year to open Beckham's debut headline tour across the UK, which concluded last month with three nights at London’s Courtyard Theatre. The tour drew attention when souvenir tickets for the Cardiff show mistakenly listed the city as being in England rather than Wales. Looking ahead, Beckham and The Breakers plan their first US headline tour later this year, alongside appearances at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Rock N Roll Circus, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Shaky Knees. Beckham expressed enthusiasm last year, saying, “I’m so excited to get out on the road... we’re gonna put on a show!” Before his debut singles, The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard collaborated with him in the studio on songwriting.
