Diplomats tour ethiopia's special economic zones to explore investments

Ambassadors and diplomats from various countries visited special economic zones in Ethiopia to examine investment opportunities and industrial developments.

Addis Ababa, May 11, 2018 (FMC). Ambassadors and diplomats from various countries are visiting special economic zones across Ethiopia to observe industrial developments, factory operations and registered achievements in the sector.

The tour included stops at Bole Lemi Special Economic Zone, Kilinto Special Industrial Zone, Eastern Industrial Zone, and Joy Tech and ICT Park. Participants discussed the zones' contributions to industrial growth, job creation and foreign exchange earnings.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly organized the visit. It highlights ongoing efforts to attract foreign direct investment and build a modern investment ecosystem.
