House of Federation holds funeral rites for former Afe Gubae ambassadors

Addis Ababa, May 28, 2018 E.C. The House of Federation is performing funeral rites today for former Afe Gubae ambassadors. A committee-organized ceremony escorts their remains from residences with a marching band to the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church for burial.

The House of Federation announced to Fana Digital that funeral rites honoring former Afe Gubae ambassadors will take place today.

A dedicated committee has organized the ceremony, which escorts their remains—accompanied by a marching band—from their residences to the Cathedral Church of St. Mary Holy Trinity at Menbere Tsebaot for burial rites.

These ambassadors passed away after falling ill and succumbing during medical treatment, according to the House.

The event is taking place in Addis Ababa.

Sirgeorgis served for decades in Ethiopia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
