ICAI releases CA Foundation and Intermediate results for January 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released the CA Foundation and Intermediate exam results for the January 2026 session online on March 8, 2026. The results are available on icai.org and icai.nic.in. Candidates need to enter their roll number and registration number to download the scorecards.

The CA Intermediate Group 1 exams were held on January 6, 8, and 10 for Advanced Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, and Taxation (Section A: Income-Tax Law, Section B: Goods and Services Tax) papers, respectively. Group 2 exams took place on January 12, 15, and 17 for Cost and Management Accounting, Auditing and Ethics, and Financial Management and Strategic Management papers. Each paper included 30 marks of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 70 marks of descriptive questions, with no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The scorecard contains the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, subject-wise marks, total marks, and qualifying status. Statements of marks will be sent by post after declaration, and candidates can contact exam.dmsinter@icai.in if not received within four to five weeks. Pass certificates for both groups will be issued within 60 days. Candidates passing in one sitting with 70% or more aggregate marks receive distinction. Rank certificates require passing in one sitting, no prior exemptions, and at least 55% aggregate; they are awarded on an All-India basis up to the 50th rank.

In the previous September 2025 session, 98,827 candidates appeared for Foundation, with 14,609 (14.78%) passing. For Intermediate, Group 1 saw 93,074 appearances and 8,780 passes (9.43%), Group 2 had 69,768 and 18,938 (27.14%), and both groups had 36,398 and 3,663 (10.06%) passes. Toppers included L Rajalakshmi for Foundation AIR 1 and Neha Khanwani for Intermediate. The CA Final results were declared earlier on March 2.
