The governments of the United States, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago issued a joint statement on July 10, 2026.
The text states that the sovereign will of citizens expressed at the polls constitutes the sole basis for the legitimacy of public power. The signatories rejected actions that delegitimize the mandate conferred by citizens or obstruct the transition process.
