Paramount+ has canceled the Tracy Morgan-led comedy series Crutch after its first season. The show, which premiered with all eight episodes in November, will not return for a second season.
The streaming service made the decision to end the series, according to reports. Cast options had already expired, allowing the actors to pursue other projects.
Tracy Morgan starred as Francois Crutchfield, a grumpy Harlem shop owner whose adult children move back home. Jermaine Fowler played his son Jake, while Adrianna Mitchell portrayed daughter Jamilah and Kecia Lewis appeared as Antoinette.
The series was set in the universe of the CBS show The Neighborhood. Morgan had first appeared as the character in a Season 8 episode of that program.
