SIT conducts eight-hour probe at Ram Temple in Ayodhya

A special investigation team carried out an eight-hour probe Thursday in Ayodhya into the Ram Temple donation theft case. The team questioned trust officials and reviewed security and donation procedures.

The SIT conducted its investigation at the temple complex from 1:40 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Led by IPS officer Kiran S, the team questioned Gopal Rao, Champat Rai and Dr. Anil Mishra.

The probe focused on the donation collection process, security arrangements and staff appointments. Anil Mishra was asked about the selection of employees counting donations and bank appointments.

An Ayodhya court approved 24-hour police remand for accused Avinash Shukla. Recoveries from his home included 20 lakh 39 thousand rupees along with other items.
