Following its first-week milestone of 3 million sales, Slay the Spire 2 has now generated an estimated $92 million on Steam—topping the lifetime earnings of Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades 2—after two weeks in early access, per analytics firm Alinea.
Analytics firm Alinea estimates Slay the Spire 2 sold 4.6 million copies in its first two weeks since launching in Steam Early Access on March 5, generating over $92 million in revenue. This exceeds the full Steam lifetime totals of $83 million each for Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades 2, according to Alinea analyst Rhys Elliott. With three weeks of sales by late March, figures are likely even higher.
The game, developed by Mega Crit (around 10 core staff plus contributors, founded by Casey Yano and Anthony Giovannetti), has held fourth on Steam's Most Played list through March, peaking at over 400,000 concurrent players. It currently ranks sixth among top sellers. Development spanned about five years, akin to peers like Team Cherry (Silksong) and Supergiant Games (around 25 staff for Hades 2).
Separately, the Kickstarter for the Slay the Spire 2 board game expansion Downfall—announced alongside week-one sales—has raised nearly £2.6 million against a £40,000 goal, with 14 days left. Backers can order collector's editions of the original board game.
