Taylor Swift has confirmed she will release a new original song for the upcoming film Toy Story 5. The track, titled “I Knew It, I Knew You,” is scheduled to arrive on June 5.
Swift announced the news on June 1 via social media and a press release. The song marks her return to country music and draws inspiration from the character Jessie, the rootin’ tootin’ cowgirl toy. She co-wrote and produced it with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff, and three CD editions will include the film version along with acoustic and piano takes.
