Taylor Swift was spotted leaving Electric Lady Studios in New York early on June 16 after a nine-hour session. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani referenced her wedding during a press conference the previous day.
Swift arrived at the studio around 8pm on June 15 and departed just after 5am the next morning. She was accompanied by Alana and Danielle Haim of the band HAIM.
The mayor made his comments at a June 15 press conference about security for the FIFA World Cup final scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium. He stated that the event coincides with July 4th, America 250, and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Mamdani added that he wished the couple well but confirmed he had not received an invitation. A spokesperson later clarified that the remark was based on a prior TMZ report about a possible permit application for Madison Square Garden during the July 4 weekend.
Swift released her album The Life of a Showgirl in October 2025 and the single I Knew It, I Knew You earlier this month for the Toy Story soundtrack.
