Tesla has activated its 1,000th Supercharger stall in Australia at a new station in Byron Bay, New South Wales. The milestone expands coverage to more than 10,000 kilometres of major highways.
The company announced the activation on X alongside a custom-designed Supercharger. The new site fills a key gap for electric vehicle drivers along Australian routes.
Tesla's network began about a decade ago to connect east coast cities, including a 1,600-kilometre corridor from Melbourne to Brisbane. By this past spring the country had 150 active locations, many using V4 hardware capable of speeds over 250kW.
More than half the sites now include CCS2 connectors open to non-Tesla vehicles. Larger stations such as the 20-stall hub in Goulburn and a planned site in Mackay with over 25 stalls are built for holiday traffic.
The milestone coincides with the rollout of FSD 14 Supervised software in Australia and New Zealand.
