Yungblud receives support from SZA after industry plant discourse

Yungblud has received messages of encouragement from fellow artists after posting about online accusations that he is an industry plant. The English musician shared a vulnerable Instagram post reflecting on his career struggles and recent performance at Bludfest.

Last week Yungblud closed the third edition of his festival Bludfest in Czechia before a crowd of 20,000. He told the audience he had felt disconnected but found a sense of belonging while looking out at the faces in front of him.

On Wednesday he posted a clip of the moment on Instagram. In the caption he described ten years of trying different sounds, facing online hate and questioning his place in the music world.

Yungblud also mentioned a recent Blunt Magazine article that addressed the industry plant claims. Comments of support soon appeared from SZA, who wrote “Rooting for you,” Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui and actress Alyssa Milano.
