Sonora Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño conducted a work tour in San Luis Río Colorado, delivering 145 land titles and 14 patrol cars to enhance property certainty and public safety. He highlighted a 95 percent reduction in intentional homicides due to inter-institutional coordination. He also announced the construction of 2,536 homes by 2027 and inspected the new IMSS hospital.
Sonora Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño led a work tour in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, aimed at bolstering security, ensuring property certainty, improving health services, and strengthening border coordination. During the visit, he delivered 145 land titles to families in the Los Laureles subdivision, in coordination with Infonavit, underscoring the importance of official documents in safeguarding family patrimony.
On security, Durazo handed over 14 patrol cars to the municipality, purchased with an investment of 12 million 398 thousand 684.44 pesos. These vehicles will boost police presence in neighborhoods and provide greater peace of mind to residents. The governor noted that, through coordination among the three levels of government, the municipality has achieved a 95 percent reduction in intentional homicides.
Regarding welfare, he reported that the National Housing Program, promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, plans for the construction of 2,536 homes in San Luis Río Colorado by 2027. In health matters, he oversaw the construction of the new IMSS General Hospital of the Zone, which will serve 128,000 beneficiaries with 120 countable beds and an investment of 3 billion 870 million 568 thousand 769 pesos. Its inauguration is expected in early next year.
Additionally, Durazo chaired a meeting to follow up on the rehabilitation and modernization of customs facilities, aiming to expedite cross-border trade. He also highlighted progress in the Senderos Seguros program, which involves installing 80 kilometers of streetlights, with 40 kilometers already completed.
