Amida launches limited Digitrend NASA Edition watch

Swiss watchmaker Amida has released the Digitrend NASA Edition, a limited-run timepiece inspired by the Space Shuttle Enterprise. The watch features a black-and-white aerodynamic case and NASA-themed details. Only 100 pieces are available exclusively through the brand's website for CHF 3,400 excluding taxes.

Amida unveiled the Digitrend NASA Edition, drawing inspiration from NASA's Space Shuttle Enterprise introduced in 1976. The watch echoes the shuttle's black-and-white shell with its futuristic design, originally teased as “Project Enterprise” at Geneva Watch Days last year. The case measures 39.6mm wide, 39mm long, and 15.6mm thick, wearing comfortably despite its profile due to the aerodynamic shape. The black sections use stainless steel with a DLC coating and engraved lines, while the white shell is scratch-resistant ceramic bearing the red NASA “worm” logo. The Light Reflecting Display mimics a spaceship cockpit, showing jumping hours and scrolling minutes through red-bordered apertures via an in-house jump-hour module. It houses a Swiss Soprod Newton P092 automatic movement with 28,800 vibrations per hour, 23 jewels, and a 44-hour power reserve. A sapphire caseback reveals a skeletonized rotor engraved with “per aspera ad astra,” Latin for “through hardships to the stars,” honoring space explorers. The strap combines black rubberized leather and Beta cloth, the material used in NASA spacesuits, secured by Velcro. Amida offers the watch now on its website in a run of just 100 pieces.
