CBS Sports analyst Charles Davis has highlighted Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy's regular season success. Davis argued that McCarthy does not receive enough recognition for his consistent wins.
Davis spoke on the Daily Flock podcast. He pointed to McCarthy's time with the Dallas Cowboys, where the team recorded three straight 12-win seasons from 2021 to 2023.
McCarthy also posted an overall .618 winning percentage during his eleven years with the Green Bay Packers. That stretch included a Super Bowl victory alongside quarterbacks Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.
Davis noted that McCarthy's Dallas teams won 11 to 12 games per year. He said the lack of deeper playoff success overshadowed those regular season results.
McCarthy now leads the Steelers offense with the 42-year-old Rodgers at quarterback.
