Judith Owen releases Suit Yourself album blending jazz and blues

Singer and pianist Judith Owen has released her latest album Suit Yourself via Twanky Records. The project draws on her New Orleans base and pays tribute to earlier female jazz artists.

Judith Owen recorded Suit Yourself at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans. The album mixes jazz, big band and blues, and features her original track “That’s Why I Love My Baby” performed with band The Gentlemen Callers. It also includes the duet “Today I Sing the Blues” with Davell Crawford and a reimagining of Dinah Washington’s “Evil Gal Blues”.
