Judith Owen släpper jazz- och bluesinspirerade albumet Suit Yourself

Sångerskan och pianisten Judith Owen har släppt sitt senaste album, Suit Yourself, via Twanky Records. Projektet hämtar inspiration från hennes bas i New Orleans och hyllar tidigare kvinnliga jazzartister.

Judith Owen spelade in Suit Yourself i Esplanade Studios i New Orleans. Albumet blandar jazz, storband och blues, och innehåller hennes nyskrivna låt “That’s Why I Love My Baby” framförd tillsammans med bandet The Gentlemen Callers. Det innehåller även duetten “Today I Sing the Blues” med Davell Crawford samt en nytolkning av Dinah Washingtons “Evil Gal Blues”.
