Fredrik Karlström could assume a larger role at center for Linköping HC this season after the club lost several forwards. The team has already seen departures including Markus Ljungh, Eskild Bakke Olsen, Nick Shore and Johan Johnsson. Karlström told Corren he is prepared to play wherever needed.
Linköping HC faces questions in its forward group ahead of the new SHL campaign. Karlström, who joined the club with expectations of becoming a top center, has mostly played on the wing but remains open to shifting inward.
The club is seeking two additional top forwards while assessing internal options. Christoffer Ehn and Ludvig Larsson are also viewed as possible centers in key lines.
Karlström acknowledged the loss of skill after Bakke Olsen's departure but noted the stronger defensive setup. Marcus Högberg has returned in goal and Linus Hultström has joined the blue line.
