The Ministry of Transport and ANI detailed that the reversions of six infrastructure projects stemmed from contract expirations, arbitral rulings or mutual negotiations.
During President Gustavo Petro's administration, six concessions have returned to INVÍAS. These include the Fontibón-Facatativá-Los Alpes contract, reverted in March 2024, and Autopistas de la Sabana, which passed in April 2025.
The Perimetral Oriente de Cundinamarca was handed over in June 2026 following an international tribunal order. The Cartagena-Barranquilla project, or Autopistas del Caribe, will return on July 21 via an early termination agreement for 480 billion pesos.
The Antioquia-Bolívar project, Ruta al Mar, has its reversion scheduled for February 2027, while the Devimed contract in eastern Medellín will end its operational phase on July 31. The entities stated that no reversion involved contractual breaches.
