Prosecutor's Office declares contest for Public Ministry academy director deserted

National Prosecutor Ángel Valencia resolved to declare the contest for the first director of the Public Ministry's Training, Improvement and Capacity Building Unit as deserted.

After receiving applications and evaluating the proposals, Valencia determined that none of the candidates met the established requirements for the position of trust.

The new unit arises from changes introduced by the institutional strengthening law. Raúl Guzmán, former prosecutor and former Senate secretary, was among the applicants.

Guzmán was left out of the process, just as happened with his application for the Senate secretary position, where Luis Rojas was ratified.
