Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has played down speculation over a public conversation between Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and Jos Verstappen in the Montreal paddock. The exchange occurred outside the Mercedes hospitality unit ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. Mekies said the chat carried no hidden agenda.
Mekies told Motorsport.com that the meeting held no particular message for Red Bull. He noted that conversations between the parties occur regularly and described them as natural. Mekies added that Max Verstappen had recently raced a Mercedes GT3 car at the Nurburgring 24 Hours event.
