Suspected Foxtrot courier employed at Swedish Prison Service

A woman employed at the Swedish Prison Service in March has been remanded in custody after police seized over 200 kg of narcotics in Nykvarn. Authorities suspect she acted as a courier for the Foxtrot network. The seizure is linked to international organized crime.

Police raided an industrial premises in Nykvarn municipality on Friday in a planned operation. A woman was arrested at the scene and has since been remanded in custody on suspicion of particularly serious narcotics offenses. The seizure involved over 200 kg of narcotics, with initial tests indicating amphetamine. Prosecutor Mats Dahlberg from the unit against international and organized crime is leading the case.

"It is no coincidence that this is happening. The police are interested in her and have been monitoring her that day. She buys various items and the way she acts and travels to the premises and behaves around it leads the police to strike," says Dahlberg.

The woman is suspected of acting as a courier for the Foxtrot network, a criminal organization with international ties. The network's main figure is abroad, according to prior police statements. Erik Guteson, section chief for the unit against international and serious organized crime in the West region, has previously linked similar seizures to Foxtrot.

Documents reveal the woman was employed by the Swedish Prison Service until March 31, 2025. She worked at Anstalten Hall, a high-security prison outside Södertälje. The Prison Service confirms the employment but states it ended on that date. "A person with the relevant name was previously employed. The employment ended on March 31, 2025," the authority writes in a comment.

The woman has two prior convictions for minor narcotics offenses this year. The seizure has been sent for full analysis. Her defense lawyer has declined to comment on the case.
