The Bharatiya Janata Party will mark the third anniversary of the Narendra Modi-led government with a week-long outreach programme from June 8 to 14.
Party president Nitin Nabin has directed media interactions at both central and state levels. The campaign will include tree-plantation drives, cleanliness initiatives and public welfare camps.
The official tagline is “Completing 12 years of trust, development and public welfare.” State units have been asked to highlight that Narendra Modi “will become the longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister of the country” in the coming days.
Background information notes that Jawaharlal Nehru served continuously for 16 years and 286 days but was not an elected premier for the first four-and-a-half years.
