Entropy RPG draws from Vagrant Story ahead of Early Access

Lovely Hellscape has revealed details about Entropy, its next RPG following Dread Delusion. The title takes clear cues from Vagrant Story and other 1990s classics while introducing a grim setting filled with permanent consequences for players.

The game begins in the city of Draenog, where the player joins a traveling acting troupe. Reanimated corpses soon overrun the area, forcing survivors to rebuild amid a spreading plague and hostile wildlands.

Party members recruited from stragglers and mercenaries share in loot but face permanent death if they fall. Combat allows strategic positioning and targeted attacks on enemy limbs, drawing directly from Vagrant Story mechanics.

Visuals feature a yellow, soiled atmosphere created by artist Artyom Trakhanov. The title is described as tough yet fair, with a big heart for its influences.

Players sampled Entropy during June’s Next Fest. It is scheduled to enter Early Access in August.
