Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon men's singles final on Centre Court. The victory marked Sinner's fifth Grand Slam title and his second consecutive Wimbledon crown.
The match lasted three hours and 48 minutes. Zverev took the first set in a tiebreak before Sinner leveled the contest in the second set tiebreak. Sinner secured the only break of the third set and added another in the fourth to close out the match.
During the third set Zverev slipped and clutched his knee. Sinner immediately helped him to his feet. Zverev later took glucose packets after his blood sugar dropped.
In his on-court speech Sinner praised Zverev. "If you play like this, I’m very, very sure you’re going to have this one at home as well," he said. Zverev replied with a light remark that drew laughter from the crowd.
The win improved Sinner's head-to-head record against Zverev to 11-4.
