Actor Kevin Spacey has reached an out-of-court settlement with three people accusing him of sexual harassment in a London civil court, the BBC confirmed. The case, set for the High Court of England and Wales later this year, is now definitively closed. Spacey was acquitted of nine sexual offenses in the UK in 2023.
US actor Kevin Spacey, 66, has settled out of court with three alleged victims suing him for sexual harassment between 2000 and 2013. The BBC confirmed the agreement, which closes the civil case at the High Court of England and Wales, originally scheduled for late 2026. Two accusers remain anonymous, known as L.N.P. and G.H.I. L.N.P. claimed deliberate harassment on 12 occasions from 2000 to 2005. G.H.I., who met Spacey while he led the Old Vic Theatre, alleged 2008 harassment causing psychiatric damage and financial losses. The third accuser, Ruari Cannon, identified himself; he was in the cast of Tennessee Williams's Sweet Bird of Youth at the Old Vic in 2013 and says Spacey grabbed his genitals at the premiere party. Spacey has denied all accusations, calling them 'ridiculous.' In 2023, he reemerged publicly after acquittal in a London criminal trial of seven counts of sexual assault, one of forcing relations without consent, and one of penetration without consent. He has admitted past 'bad behavior' and being 'too handsy' at times but has not described those incidents as sexual groping.
