The Kenya Revenue Authority has announced a 20-hour scheduled maintenance for its eTIMS and TIMS platforms. The work is set to begin at 6pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, and end at 2pm on Thursday, July 23.

KRA stated that the platforms will go offline during this period. Users will be unable to log in, generate e-invoices or transmit data in real time.

Approximately 245,000 businesses registered on the systems are expected to be affected. These include micro and small traders using eTIMS Lite, consultants, freelancers and large corporations that integrate via API.

Businesses have been advised to transmit pending invoices before the window begins. They may use offline solutions during the maintenance and must upload recorded transactions afterwards.

The maintenance is intended to optimise network speeds, enhance security and deploy system upgrades, according to the authority.
